About me
Hi, I’m Shalom Korn. I’m 29 years-old and have been a professional photographer for eight years. I was born in 1987 in Jerusalem, Israel and moved with my family to Kiev, Ukraine, where I lived from 1991-1997, when my family returned to Israel. Following my marriage in 2008, my new wife and I immediately moved to Budapest, Hungary. Called to serve in the I.D.F. in 2009, I served for two years. In 2012, I moved to the United States with my family.
I learned in Massah Acheir in Tel-Aviv, Israel and Camera Obskera http://www.camera.org.il/, also in Tel-Aviv.
My studio is located in the Detroit, Michigan area, where I live with my wife and three beautiful children. I work throughout the Midwest and East Coast, as well as in Israel.
I don’t just take pictures. As an artist, I aim to capture the raw, beautiful and sometimes vulnerable emotions that transform pictures into sentimental heirlooms.
On the Jewish scene, I specialize in weddings, bar and bat-mitzvot, brissim, family and communal events.
My specialties include wedding photography, portraits, children & families, individuals and groups. I also work with local schools taking portraits of each student and faculty. I have won awards for scenic photographs. I invite you to view and enjoy them.
Our promise is to invest hard work and effort to make your event eventful.
Looking forward to hearing from you,
Shalom
